What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intermittent/Part-time Funeral Assistant position at Cremations of the Ozarks?
The position of Intermittent/Part-time Funeral Assistant is an opportunity to learn and assist our Funeral Directors and staff in a collaborative work environment. The candidate would be assisting us approximately 2.5 to 15 hours per week.
The ideal candidate should possess a heart for serving others and demonstrate flexibility, an ability to perform heavy lifting, compassion, and a strong attention to detail. (Examples of background experience include funeral service, ministry, volunteer work, education, or military service.)
Evening, night, and weekend on-call time is a consistent part of serving families. On-call time includes heavy lifting in excess of 75 pounds to receive individuals who have passed while greeting families with compassion. The candidate should live within 15 minutes of our location or be willing to relocate. Being present for families is more than a job; it requires a heart for service. In addition, assistance with memorial/funeral services may also be included in this position.
