What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Prep Part Time position at Crema Coffee?
Crema Coffee Company is looking for a reliable Food Prep Associate to assist with preparing fresh food for our café locations at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, can follow established recipes and procedures, and takes pride in keeping a clean and organized prep area.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing ingredients according to recipes
- Assembling salads, sandwiches, and wraps
- Portioning ingredients and prepared foods
- Labeling, dating, rotating, and properly storing food
- Restocking ingredients and supplies
- Maintaining food-safety and sanitation standards
- Cleaning and organizing the food-preparation area
- Completing prep work independently and efficiently
Requirements:
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to accurately follow recipes and food-safety procedures
- Organized and able to manage multiple prep tasks
- Comfortable performing repetitive food-preparation work
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
The preferred schedule is approximately 6:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, although you said you were willing to consider alternative weekday schedules for the right candidate.
There may also be an opportunity for additional hours beyond the initial 30 hours per week depending on how the position works out.
