What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at CREGGER COMPANY INC?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations in our corporate office. In this role, you will perform daily deposit reconciliation including identifying and resolving discrepancies, scanning and processing remote deposits, and assisting in the accounts payable department. This position requires strong analytical abilities and consistent accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete daily reconciliation of deposits, including ACH and credit card transactions.
- Scan, process, and track deposits for assigned locations.
- Identify discrepancies and work with branch teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with inventory payables and related accounting tasks.
- Communicate directly with branch locations and members of Corporate Headquarters (CSS) to ensure accurate financial reporting and support.
- Maintain organized records and ensure timely processing of all assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
- Strong Excel skills, including data entry, sorting/filtering, and basic formulas.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with branch and corporate teams.
- Ability to manage daily workflows and prioritize time-sensitive tasks.
- Previous experience in accounting, reconciliation, or clerical financial support preferred.
