What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabrication Front Packoff Leadperson position at Creekstone Farms Premium Beef?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Front Pack Off Lead will work with production team members and direct daily activities within the within the Front Pack area of the Fabrication department. They will be responsible for being an example to other Team Members using a continuous improvement mentality and will work to perpetuate a “Creekstone Proud” culture through attitude and actions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Ensure all workers have proper work attire, safety equipment, and training partner if required at the beginning of the shift.
• Develop and promote positive working relationships with all team members
• Walk the area several times each hour ensuring the job functions are completed properly in each area and at the proper speed and quality levels.
• Relieve workers needing to leave the line at unscheduled times.
• Immediately inform the Supervisor of all unscheduled line stops due to problems in the area.
• Responsible for covering during absenteeism for hourly production and supervisor.
• Provide service to and enhance the learning experience of new team members
• Additional duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Able to read production schedule to maintain 100% accuracy.
• Meat Industry experience required
• Knowledge of how Plate Line is connected to the whole beef production process
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner
• Ability to foster an atmosphere of teamwork and respect
• Functional with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Basic math skills are necessary
• Clear communication skills – verbally and in written form.
• Ability to coach and develop others into becoming better employees
• Leadership skills such as but not limited to conflict resolution, encouraging others and inspiring good work
• Ability to take direction humbly and collaborate to define and pursue team goals
• A positive outlook and attitude in taking initiative and problem solving, unprompted
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Climbing, stooping , crouching; Standing for 8 or more hours per day; Pushing, Pulling, Grasping; Able to Lift 0 – 50 lbs; Able to work in Cold and Wet Floor Environment; Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – hard hat, safety-toe boots, safety goggles, hair/beard net, etc.
