Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas in hotels or residential settings.
- Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and carpet cleaning to ensure all surfaces are spotless.
- Handle laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or housekeeping roles preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques for various surfaces including floors and carpets is a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends may be required depending on the needs of the business.
