For over 120 years, Creekside Jewelers and its predecessors have occupied the same location in historic downtown Golden. We are a full-service jeweler offering bridal jewelry, fine jewelry, repairs, and appraisals. Our team has the privilege of sharing in our customers' most special moments and milestones—after all, who walks into a jewelry store in a bad mood?
As a Jewelry Sales Consultant, your role is to build strong customer relationships while delivering an exceptional in-store experience. We rely on our consultants to maximize sales performance by combining product knowledge with outstanding customer service. As you grow in this role, you'll refine your expertise and develop into a trusted jewelry consultant.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
You'll deliver an exceptional customer experience while contributing to a collaborative team culture. Daily responsibilities may include:
- Provide bridal jewelry consultations to guide customers through one of the most meaningful purchases of their lives.
- Sell fine jewelry, fashion jewelry, and all other product categories offered by Creekside Jewelers.
- Warmly greet every customer and offer personalized assistance in the front showroom.
- Obtain in-depth knowledge of products to become an expert in the merchandise offered to customers.
- Handle repair intake and pickups by setting customer expectations and providing effective communication.
- Foster a positive environment where the team supports one another, learns from each other, and makes Creekside Jewelers a great place to work.
- Follow existing processes and procedures for daily operations.
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring merchandise security.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure case presentation meets set standards.
- Use store technology, including tablets and computers, to showcase merchandise, check vendor inventory, and fulfill customer product requests.
- Perform duties related to inspections and light repairs, such as inspecting and cleaning jewelry pieces.
- Contribute to daily opening and closing routines, including merchandise setup, store upkeep, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years of retail jewelry sales experience; bridal jewelry experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to work Saturdays and two evenings per week as needed.
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, and reliably follows through on customer communications and assigned tasks.
- A natural people person who actively listens, builds relationships easily, and enjoys connecting with customers from all walks of life.
- Willing to learn, brings a positive, energetic attitude, and is a motivated team player.
- Genuine affinity and knowledge of jewelry, with the ability to educate clients without sales pressure while building personal connections.
- Adaptable to various technology platforms, including tablets, computers, and software systems.
- Maintains a professional, business casual appearance appropriate for a fine jewelry environment.
- Dependable and punctual, understanding the importance of consistent attendance on a small team.
- Able to lift up to 10 lbs, remain on their feet, and be mobile around the store during shifts.
- Follows all security, loss prevention, and store policies.
Work Environment
The primary environment for this role is an open retail setting. Most business is conducted with customers in person or via video call. The pace can shift quickly, so comfort with multitasking and periods of high activity is essential. This role includes speaking with customers over the phone and communicating via email, requiring strong communication skills. Day to day, you'll be on your feet, showing merchandise, and moving throughout the store. You'll also be working closely with your teammates throughout every shift. This is not a remote position.
