Position Overview
Creek Technologies pending contract reward with Brooke Army Medical Center is seeking a skilled Network Engineer – Level II to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network solutions that support mission-critical operations. The role involves planning, testing, and integrating LANs, WANs, WLANs, and other communications networks, while ensuring compliance with organizational security standards. The Network Engineer will collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure network reliability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, test, upgrade, and integrate new or existing information networks, including LAN, WLAN, WAN, intranets, and extranets, in alignment with business requirements.
- Document all aspects of network engineering processes, including configuration, testing, deployment, and change management.
- Coordinate implementation of network upgrades, new deployments, or version increments with network administrators and stakeholders.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to safeguard data and infrastructure.
- Perform network modeling, analysis, and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance.
- Evaluate new and emerging network technologies, provide recommendations for selection, and assist with integration.
- Support complex troubleshooting efforts and, if necessary, coordinate with vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Provide day-to-day operational or administrative support for deployed networks in both lab and production environments.
- Apply engineering principles, processes, and best practices to technical assignments.
- Collaborate with senior technical staff and end-users to complete network projects efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in network engineering, demonstrating technical proficiency and increasing responsibility.
- Certifications:
- IAT II: Must meet DoD M certification requirements.
- CE: Associate-level (professional preferred) certification for supported network technologies, as approved by the COR.
- Security Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 (T3) background investigation.
