Searching for Barista to add to our Brew and Bottle Shop , hours will be Monday to Friday 6-2.
A barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages and café items while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role involves operating espresso machines, taking customer orders, handling payments, and maintaining a clean, welcoming café space.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee beverages (espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, specialty drinks) according to café recipes and quality standards
- Greet customers, take accurate orders, and provide friendly, efficient service
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain cleanliness of the café, including counters, equipment, seating areas, and restrooms
- Restock coffee beans, cups, syrups, milk, pastries, and other supplies
- Handle cash and electronic payments; follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Support team members during busy periods and contribute to a positive work environment
- Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines
- Answer customer questions and make recommendations on menu items
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Basic knowledge of coffee preparation (training often provided)
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Reliability and punctuality
- Prior barista or food-service experience is required
