What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sub-Fab Materials Technician position at Cree Wolfspeed?
Wolfspeed Global Operations is seeking a Sub-Fab Materials Technician to join the team. This position provides support for the Global EPI, Wafer Fab, CG and Materials department from outside of the Fab areas. Successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to work in a small group with minimum supervision and have excellent customer service skills.
**Day Shift and Night Shift Opportunities are Available**
Job Responsibilities:
- Change Hazardous/ Non-Hazard waste totes and drums for the Wafer Fab, Materials and Global Epi areas.
- Change Hazard/ Non-Hazard gas cylinders, complete chemical fills and all other chemical supply delivery systems. This requires to be SCBA certifies for some tasks.
- Complete daily checks on all Support Equipment.
- Complete Chemical deliveries.
- Rebuild/repair critical spare parts.
- Troubleshooting and repair of equipment we support. (Gas cabinets, VMB’s, Bulk delivery, Hazard/Non-Hazard waste collections and general support equipment).
- Leak check gas delivery systems.
- Precious metals collections and support precious metals shipments.
- Daily cleaning of the areas.
What you need for success:
- Able to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, and maintenance manuals
- Understanding of high vacuum equipment, electronic circuitry and PLC controllers
- Must be willing to work overtime to support needs of business
- Must be able to be medically cleared to wear a respirator and clean shaving.
- Must be TPI certified.
- Forklift certified.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
- PC experience – MS Word, Excel, Access, Oracle
Highly preferred skills and certifications:
- Associates Degree in Electronics Technology or similar technical degree
- 2 years semiconductor equipment maintenance repair experience or equivalent military experience
- Must be organized, neat, detailed, conscientious, and thorough.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Will work around compressed gases, acids, solvents, vacuum pump oils, and other chemicals.
- Must be able to regularly lift 65 lbs.
