Position Title: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN – General Surgery
Department: Patient Care Unit
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Monday to Friday (3 Days/12 Hours)
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Location Requirement: Must reside 75 miles from the facility (no local contracts)
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN to join our General Surgery unit. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to post-operative and acutely ill patients, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective care. This position includes potential floating to support Med/Surg units as needed and requires commitment to work every other weekend and every other holiday.

Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in Med/Surg and General Surgery
- Licensure: Active RN license
- Certifications:
- BLS – Required
- Other Requirements:
- Previous travel RN experience – Required
- EPIC EHR experience – Required
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Monitor, document, and report changes in patient condition
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care and serve as a patient advocate
- Execute physician and nursing orders accurately and promptly
- Participate in discharge planning and patient education
- Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse
