Position Overview

Athena Medtech is currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Medical Unit 4E. This role requires a proactive, patient-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative clinical environment and is committed to delivering exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the assessment and documentation of patient needs across physical, psychosocial, spiritual, environmental, and educational domains.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care and discharge plans, using clinical judgment and nursing standards.
• Support patient and family education by facilitating learning opportunities, based on teaching plans created by the supervising RN.
• Administer medications and assist with daily care activities in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols.
• Respond positively to changes in healthcare practices, technologies, and workflows; maintain professionalism under pressure.
• Communicate effectively with the care team by reporting pertinent changes in patient condition to the supervising RN.
  
  

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted LPN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an inpatient or medical-surgical setting
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records (EHR) and telemetry systems
• Previous experience in a travel LPN role is a plus
