Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the assessment and documentation of patient needs across physical, psychosocial, spiritual, environmental, and educational domains.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care and discharge plans, using clinical judgment and nursing standards.
- Support patient and family education by facilitating learning opportunities, based on teaching plans created by the supervising RN.
- Administer medications and assist with daily care activities in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols.
- Respond positively to changes in healthcare practices, technologies, and workflows; maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Communicate effectively with the care team by reporting pertinent changes in patient condition to the supervising RN.
- Active and unrestricted LPN license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an inpatient or medical-surgical setting
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records (EHR) and telemetry systems
- Previous experience in a travel LPN role is a plus
