About the role
Credo is seeking an experienced Staff Application Engineer to serve as the technical lead for our PCIe products across North America. The role centers on providing end-to-end customer support—from pre-sales channel analysis and schematic/layout review through post-sales system bring-up and lab debug—while building lasting relationships that drive design wins. Acting as the technical bridge between customers and internal teams, the ideal candidate brings strong high-speed design expertise, hands-on lab proficiency, and can translate customer needs into actionable feedback to deliver winning solutions. Base salary range is $140,000 - $210,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Responsibilities
· Serve as the primary applications engineering contact for North America customers using Credo's PCIe products.
· Deliver end-to-end technical support across the product lifecycle — from pre-sales PCIe channel analysis and schematic/layout review through post-sales system bring-up and lab debug.
· Build and sustain long-term relationships with key customers, driving the technical activities that lead to design wins.
· Act as the technical bridge between customers and internal teams, channeling customer requests and feedback to engineering, product, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
· Education & experience: BSEE or MSEE, preferably with 3 years in high-speed design or applications engineering.
· Lab proficiency: Hands-on experience with lab equipment including protocol analyzers, BERTs, and high-speed oscilloscopes.
· System knowledge: Familiarity with the PCIe ecosystem and LTSSM is a strong plus.
· Scripting: Strong Python skills for lab automation and test development.
