ABOUT CREDO
Credo Beauty, a trusted voice in an under-regulated beauty industry and a recognized pioneer in clean beauty retail, is looking for a part-time Social Media and Community Intern based on the East Coast. Carrying 130 of the best brands all held to the highest standard in efficacy, safety and sustainability – we lead by example. Creating a safer, more sustainable, and more ethical beauty industry.
POSITION PURPOSE
This is an educational internship for a student who wants hands-on exposure to social media and community management in a retail beauty brand. You’ll learn alongside our Social and Content teams, with structured mentorship from the Content Manager, and gain practical experience that complements your coursework. Academic credit is required, and we’ll coordinate with your school to meet its program requirements.
RESPONSIBLITIES
Social Media Management: Observe, contribute and assist with implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness and drive business growth across platforms such as TikTok, Reddit and Instagram.
Tik Tok Content Creation: Collaborate with Social Team to produce visually appealing and trend-driven content that aligns with Credo Beauty's brand vision and resonates with an aspirational Gen-z audience.
Community Engagement: Build and nurture an online community of clean beauty enthusiasts by facilitating daily conversations, encouraging user-generated content, and fostering engagement across all social channels. Managing through dm’s, comments and tagged posts.
Brand Partner Collaboration: Work alongside the Content Manager to facilitate communications with external brand partners, clearly understanding key objectives for new brand and product launches, service rollouts, and other initiatives — while maintaining a professional tone and organized workflow.
Trend Monitoring: Conduct weekly analysis and stay updated on beauty Industry Tik Tok trends to ensure our social media strategy remains relevant and impactful.
Performance Tracking: Learn, monitor and analyze weekly social media metrics of new channels to assess effectiveness, providing insights to optimize future strategies.
Marketing Support: Assist and gain exposure to the broader marketing team and its initiatives.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled student eligible to receive academic credit for this internship.
- Passion for clean beauty and a strong understanding of Credo Beauty's mission and values.
- Familiarity with growing social media platforms such as Tik Tok and best practices for community engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools. Such as Dash Socials.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Availability to work 12-15 hours per week during EST business hours.
