About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Analyst to join our Tax team. This role will support a broad range of direct and indirect tax activities, including compliance, transfer pricing, inter-company settlements, and tax audits, while collaborating closely with cross-functional and cross-border teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to expand their expertise across multiple areas of tax.
 
Base salary range is $83,000 - $140,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field (CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred)
  • 3-5 years of relevant tax experience; a combination of public accounting and corporate in-house tax experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with tax compliance, transfer pricing, intercompany settlements, income tax provision
  • Demonstrated ability to manage third-party service providers, including scoping work, reviewing deliverables, and managing budgets/timelines
  • Strong Excel skills; along with familiarity NetSuite is preferred
  • Comfort leveraging AI tools and technology to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and cross-border/global teams
  • Self-starter with a strong willingness to learn and take on new tax projects and areas of responsibility
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review indirect tax filings (VAT/GST/Sales & Use Tax, property tax etc.) across applicable jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with local regulatory requirements, and reconcile indirect tax accounts
  • Manage and monitor inter-company (I/C) transactions and settlements across entities, ensuring balances are accurately recorded and reconciled in line with transfer pricing policies
  • Perform transfer pricing (TP) calculations and true-up analyses in accordance with intercompany agreements and TP policy; assist in preparing transfer pricing documentation and supporting schedules
  • Coordinate corporate income tax return preparation with external tax vendors, including managing the information requests, reviewing vendor-prepared returns and workpapers for accuracy, and tracking filing deadlines across relevant jurisdictions
  • Prepare and file FBAR (Foreign Bank Account Report) and other foreign asset/account reporting requirements in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Support quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations under ASC 740 and other applicable accounting standards 
  • Assist in responding to tax authority information requests and audit queries, and prepare supporting documentation and analysis for audit defense
  • Support special tax studies and analyses such as R&D tax credit studies, Section 382 ownership change/NOL limitation analyses, and other ad hoc technical projects as needed with a strong willingness to learn and take on new areas of tax responsibility as they arise
  • Manage relationships with third-party tax advisors and vendors, including coordinating deliverables, reviewing work product, managing timelines and budgets, and acting as the primary point of contact for outsourced tax work
  • Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI tools and automation to improve the efficiency and accuracy of tax processes, workpapers, and reporting
  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting, Legal, and Treasury teams, and work closely with regional/global tax colleagues across different jurisdictions
