Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for safely delivering products to customers while also supporting warehouse operations through manual handling and material movement. Responsibilities
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load, unload, and organize products using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts.
- Deliver goods directly to customers’ locations, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and professional customer interactions.
- Assist with warehouse operations by moving inventory, organizing stock, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
- Use mobile devices or delivery apps to navigate routes efficiently, track deliveries, and communicate with team members.
- Follow safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks to prevent injuries and ensure workplace safety.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain compliance with safety standards and DOT regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and moving heavy items.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to operate a box truck or van with manual transmission.
- Experience with commercial truck driving, van driving, or personal vehicle delivery is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of route planning, traffic laws, and adherence to DOT regulations for weight handling in the workplace.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards clients during deliveries.
- Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation, communication, and documentation purposes.
