The Job at a Glance
Credit Union 1 is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Core Specialist to oversee and maintain the Corelation Keystone core processing software. The Core Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for the configuration, troubleshooting, and enhancement of the Keystone platform to ensure seamless integration with other systems and services. This role requires a deep understanding of the core processing system and a proactive approach to identifying and solving operational issues, ensuring optimal system performance for both staff and members.
A Typical Day
- Corelation Keystone Administration:
- Configure, maintain, and optimize the Corelation Keystone core processing software to meet operational needs.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Keystone and related integrations with third-party systems.
- Ensure efficient functioning of daily core operations including batch processing, transaction processing, and reporting.

System Enhancements & Integrations:
- Collaborate with various departments to implement system enhancements, process improvements, and automation.
- Identify opportunities for new functionalities or system modifications to better support Credit Union services.
- Manage integrations between Keystone and other critical systems, such as online banking platforms, payment processing, and loan origination systems.

Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support for Credit Union staff regarding the use of Keystone, offering solutions to core processing issues in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any system outages, bugs, or user issues.
- Work closely with Corelation support and third-party vendors to address complex system problems.

Training & Documentation:
- Develop and deliver training programs for Credit Union staff on Keystone software usage and best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations, procedures, and issue resolution processes.

Compliance & Security:
- Ensure all core system updates and configurations comply with regulatory requirements and Credit Union policies.
- Regularly monitor system security and collaborate with the IT department to implement necessary patches or updates to safeguard member data.

Project Management:
- Lead or assist in core system-related projects, including new product rollouts, system upgrades, and conversions.
- Communicate progress and updates to stakeholders and management as required.
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of experience working with Corelation Keystone or similar core processing systems in a financial institution (preferably a credit union).
- Strong technical skills in managing core system environments, including configurations, troubleshooting, and integrations.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in financial services (NCUA, FFIEC, etc.).
- Experience with SQL, databases, and scripting for automation purposes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and support non-technical staff.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $24 - $33
