Responsibilities include developing custom Python dashboards to support predictive analytics and serving both routine and specialized use cases within the Risk Finance domain. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand current manual workflows, challenges, and risk exposures.
- Collaborate with IT, finance, and business partners to design and deliver automated solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing systems.
- Define and document business objectives, project success criteria, and risk mitigation strategies for database and tool development.
- Perform gap analyses to identify areas for operational improvement and data enhancement.
- Develop detailed functional and technical requirements for databases, automation tools, and reporting dashboards.
- Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of financial forecasting products and reporting systems.
- Work with IT to define database schemas, ETL processes, validation rules, and data integration points.
- Analyze current data sources to determine the structure and scope of the future-state system.
- Establish robust validation rules and exception handling frameworks.
- Design test plans and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts.
- Create comprehensive user guides, technical documentation, and workflow overviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics).
- 5 years of experience in Data Science, Process Improvement, or Data Analysis.
- Expertise in process mapping, gap analysis, and requirements gathering.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, R, SAS, or SQL.
- Strong knowledge of database design, ETL pipelines, and data validation strategies.
- Experience designing or implementing analytics tools in a Risk or Finance context.
- Analytical, resourceful, and proactive in approaching complex problem-solving.
