Responsibilities:
As a Google System Engineer, you will be tasked with:
- Designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based systems on GCP
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
- Monitoring system performance and ensuring high availability of cloud services
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues in development, test, and production environments
- Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient software development and delivery
- Ensuring compliance with security and data protection policies
- Providing training and support to team members on GCP best practices and tools
- Must possess an active Secret clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Five (5) years of professional experience in the engineering field with strong cloud expertise
- Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform, including services like Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes Engine
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and design principles, including networking and security best practices
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and managing configuration management tools
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to various stakeholders
- DoD 8570 IAT II (i.e Security , SSCP, etc.)
- Google Associate Cloud Engineer OR Google Professional Cloud Architect
- Additional CSP certification
