About the Role
We're looking for a kind, dependable Daycare Assistant who loves working with young children and understands the importance of creating a warm, engaging space. You’ll work closely with the director and help care for infants, and toddlers—supporting routines, activities, and play.
What You'll Do
- Support with daily routines like meals, naps, diapering, and transitions
- Engage with children during play, helping guide learning and exploration
- Assist with preparing and facilitating simple activities, art, and outdoor time
- Keep the daycare space tidy and organized throughout the day
- Communicate gently and clearly with children and caregivers
- Uphold safety, health, and hygiene standards at all times
Who You Are
- Someone with experience working with young children (daycare, classroom, babysitting, etc.)
- Comfortable caring for infants and toddlers
- Patient, playful, and dependable
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
- Must be CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Must be willing to complete NYS fingerprinting and pass all OCFS background checks
- Must complete NYS Health & Safety training (can be done after hiring)
