Experienced Barista/Food Prep for Cafe on Boulder's Pearl Street

Creature Comforts Cafe is a vibrant, community-focused cafe serving coffee, beer, wine and light fare on Boulder's downtown Pearl Street. Our goal is to create a warm, inviting atmosphere where guests feel genuinely cared for and welcome.

We are seeking kind and caring individuals who have a passion for hospitality and creating delightful guest experiences in all cafe positions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve high-quality beverages and food items with attention to detail and presentation
• Engage with guests in a sincere, friendly manner, anticipating their needs and surprising and delighting them
• Uphold and champion high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety in the cafe for all team members and guests
• Perform all tasks related to the smooth operations of cafe, e.g. opening and closing responsibilities, setting up the cafe, dialing in equipment, restocking inventory, cleaning
• Collaborate with fellow team members to create an exceptional guest experience
• Continually seek opportunities to learn, grow, and hone your hospitality skills

Key Qualifications:

• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating delightful guest experiences
• Enthusiasm and interest in learning about specialty coffee, beer, wine and food in general
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and kindly with guests and team members
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Willingness to learn and apply new techniques and knowledge
• A can-do, optimistic, problem-solving attitude
• Attention to detail
• Able to stand on feet for long periods of time
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Available to work during daytime and weekend shifts
• **We are looking for individuals with 1 year of barista experience in a specialty coffee shop and/or kitchen experience.
