What are the responsibilities and job description for the Culinary Instructor position at Creativities Studio?
This position is for a culinary instructor for Mondays 3:15 - 4:15 PM in Weston, FL at a private school.
Must have culinary teaching experience with elementary aged children.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct children ages 5-10 in engaging culinary arts class from 1/26 - 6/1
- Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students.
- Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.
- Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide a fun and creative environment.
Requirements:
- Must be able to commit from 1/26 - 6/1
- Must be comfortable instructing children in learning a simple recipe.
- While curriculum planning is not necessary, we require that the lead instructor purchase the ingredients for the recipe before class and bring them to class. Expense reimbursement up to $40 per class will be provided for the ingredients.
Qualifications:
- Previous teaching experience required.
- Interest / experience in culinary arts or passion for cooking & baking.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Energetic, driven, creative, and dependable.
- Demonstrate patience and leadership skills.
