Creative X Entertainment is hiring a Senior Video Editor to lead the editing and storytelling execution of a fast-growing YouTube and social ecosystem, The Anatomy of a Dream.
This role is editor-first, craft-driven, and performance-focused.
We are looking for a genuinely strong editor. Someone with taste, pacing instincts, and the ability to turn raw footage into compelling stories people actually finish watching. The production systems, formats, and direction already exist. Your job is to elevate the edit.
Producer-level responsibilities will be introduced and expanded over time, but editing excellence is the priority from day one. PLEASE PROVIDE SHORT AND LONG-FORM EXAMPLES OF WORK IN YOUR APPLICATION - Preferably Instagram/Tik Tok for short-form and Youtube for long-form.
You will be responsible for shaping the final product across long-form YouTube episodes and short-form social content. This includes narrative structure, pacing, emotional beats, hooks, and polish.
You will work closely with founders, producers, and the host, but your primary value is your ability to cut great content consistently and quickly.
This is not a junior role, and not a volume-only editor position.
Editing & Storytelling (Primary Focus)
- Edit long-form YouTube episodes with strong narrative structure, clarity, and momentum
- Edit high-performing short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Identify and build strong hooks in the opening seconds of every asset
- Shape emotional arcs, tension, humor, and payoff through editing
- Cut trailer-style pieces that combine dialogue, music, pacing, and sound design
- Source and integrate b-roll, archival footage, and supporting visuals when needed
- Deliver clean, organized, on-time edits that meet a high creative bar
- Collaborate on thumbnail concepts and titles
- Offer creative input on hooks and episode structure
- Understand how edits affect retention, CTR, and overall performance
- Review audience retention and engagement data
- Apply learnings to future edits
- Iterate quickly when adjustments are needed
- Sit in on creative discussions and production planning
- Gradually take on light producer responsibilities as comfort grows
- Support on-set storytelling awareness when present
You are:
- A strong editor first, with proven long-form and short-form experience
- Someone with excellent pacing and story instincts
- Comfortable working fast without sacrificing quality
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Calm under pressure and reliable under deadlines
- Interested in growing into a larger creative leadership role over time
- 4–7 years of professional editing experience
- Demonstrated experience editing YouTube content and short-form social
- Strong understanding of story structure, pacing, hooks, and viewer psychology
- Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Experience working with tight turnarounds
- Strong communication skills and openness to feedback
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Must be Miami-based and available to work in person
- Documentary, reality, or creator-led YouTube background
- Thumbnail design or strong visual packaging instincts
- Basic understanding of YouTube analytics
- Photography, lighting, or design experience

Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience
This range reflects the level of editing skill, speed, and responsibility required.
