JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Outreach Program Education Assistant

_ GENERAL FUNCTION_:

Responsible for coordinating, planning, development, implementation evaluation and supervision of all defined programs. In addition, the incumbent provides and maintains programs relevant to the needs of the community and builds a positive force within the community in seeking solutions to its needs.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
A. Knowledge and skills (specialized, technical, or practical) - Bachelor degree in physical education, recreation administration, criminal justice, counseling, social work, sociology, psychology or related field.

B. Human Relations Skills- Ability to relate effectively to diverse group of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Communication skills relative to meeting participants and community needs is highly important.

C. Knowledge and background in public relations and promotion; development; recruitment, and leadership of both volunteer leaders and employees; working with families, youth and teens.

D. The incumbent must have the ability to delegate appropriate responsibilities and schedule staff.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A. Program Development- Background in program planning and development; communication skills including writing and public speaking. Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate recreation, educational, social classes and activities for all age groups and interests. Create and formulate class ideas, implement youth and family activities in the classroom and community. Ability to make presentations, skills in public speaking, social media knowledge, and case management.

B. Administrative- Ability to manage time, fiscal resources, facilities, equipment, supplies and programs for the delivery of the best possible programs. Develop, administer and manage programs and annual budget.

C. Technical skills- Must have computers skills and knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Team, Google etc.

D. Marketing and Public Relations- Develop and write brochures, flyers, etc., for publication, distribution, and registration; register and enroll participants; inform participants of class changes, cancellations, and refunds; evaluate classes, activities, and instructors.

E. Evaluation- Prepare and maintain attendance reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for classes, meetings, and drop-in facility use. Prepare and maintain enrollment and class program evaluation on a quarterly basis. Prepare and maintain daily revenue reports for class and facility revenues.

F. Customer Service- Investigate and resolve customer complaints concerning classes, instructors, or the facility.

G. Decision Making and Judgment- Contact local businesses, individuals, and community organizations for program support and participation. Maintain, coordinate, schedule and monitor facility schedules, reservations, and room schedules.

H. Physical Demands- Physically adapt center/facility for daily recreation usage through movement of recreation center equipment apparatus.

I. Confidential Data- Must keep participants, families etc., financial and other information confidential.

J. Concentration- Attention to deadlines, standards, goals, and objectives are highly important.

Sensitivity and concerns for the community and participants' needs is vitally important.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
