Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented USA based Signage Graphic Designer to join our team. This role focuses on developing design-build an bid spec exterior signage projects with while also preparing precise technical fabrication drawings for complete exterior signage packages. Designers in this position must be highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
As a custom sign shop, we expect designers to balance creative vision with technical accuracy, ensuring that all design solutions are both visually impactful and fully manufacturable. Collaboration is critical, our designers work closely with Sales, Project Management, and Production teams to move projects from concept through fabrication seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Design conceptual exterior signage solutions, with enough detail required to provide accurate pricing and scope of work.
- Develop comprehensive technical design packages, specifications, and production-ready artwork.
- Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, and Production teams to ensure feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with client needs.
- Translate architectural drawings, site surveys, and brand guidelines into accurate, buildable signage systems.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and fabrication methods that align with both design goals and shop capabilities.
- Ensure all designs comply with local codes, and safety requirements.
- Maintain meticulous documentation, version control, and organizational standards across all projects.
- Participate in client presentations, revisions, and design reviews as needed.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in technical signage designs.
- Proficiency in CorelDRAW
- Understanding of signage materials, fabrication processes (CNC routing, vinyl, illumination, etc.), and mounting systems.
- Proven ability to design for fabrication with high accuracy and detail.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with ADA standards and code compliance (required).
