Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder / Orbital Tube Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise welding operations on various metal components, primarily focusing on orbital tube welding—an advanced technique used for creating high-quality, leak-proof welds on tubing assemblies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects within manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments, ensuring all welds meet strict quality standards and safety regulations. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering durable, reliable products and structures that meet or exceed industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create and follow procedures to setup and operate the orbital welding system
- Work from blueprints and approved drawings
- Work alongside engineering to provide insight to process improvements
- Cut and prepare tubing and fittings used in the welding operation
- Perform setup and maintenance of the welding system
- Assist in training other teammates in orbital tube welding
- Inspect all completed assemblies using borescope and other inspection tools
- Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts for the welding system
- Maintain a clean work area, practicing "clean as you go" and general housekeeping standards
- Assist in facility needs
- Welding of Tube Duct products and other sheet metal
- Install and weld various components
- Weld process as per AWS D17.1
- Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
Qualifications
- 5 year of welding, machining or manufacturing experience OR certificate from an accredited trade skills program in A&P, manufacturing, welding, and/or electronics
- Previous experience in Aerospace TIG welding
- Proficiency with welding tools and procedures
- Familiarity with engineering blueprints
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Able to Certify to AWS D17.1
- Experience with Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Titanium and Inconel
Competitive Pay Dependant Upon Experience
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
