ART TEACHER, Part Time

$25/hour Teaching Bonus

Creative Native Kids works to provide uplifting and empowering art experiences to everyone in the CN community. We offer private, at-home mixed media art classes, camps and parties to kids of all ages in the Los Angeles area, as well as adult workshops. We are looking for an ART TEACHER to join our passionate team, and lead private, at-home kids art classes, camps and occasional parties at clients’ homes starting August 2026. This ART TEACHER is expected to teach both our Little Creatives sensory classes for ages 1.5-3yo, and our Creative Kids art classes for ages 3.5yo .

New hires may expect up to 90 days of training (10-15 hrs/week at $20/hr) before taking on their own class schedule. The Teaching Bonus will go into effect after the successful completion of the training period. After training, this position can expect 1-10 art classes/week ($25/hour Teaching Bonus), depending on class availability. Classes are typically held between 8:00am-5:00pm, M-F

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lesson plan 5-10 week class sessions in the Creatiive Natiive method
• Teach weekly small group (1-9 children) art classes and/or sensory classes independently
• Efficiently prep weekly art materials with a sustainable mindset
• Keep art and sensory materials in your car or home between classes (typically overnight)
• Clean all materials after use (this is an art studio and a lot of cleaning is required)
• Arrive punctually & reliably to all scheduled classes, camps or parties
• Conduct all communication with Clients, Admin and Owner with respect, open-mindedness and kindness
• Lead parties on weekends (as needed - weekend availability is required)

REQUIRED

• Passion for teaching, early childhood education and connecting with children
• Dedicated and committed individuals who have a student-mindset and are invested in growing with the company
• Passion for art (the idea of trying out a new project or material is energizing to you!)
• Experience working with children ages 1-10yo, preferably in an instructional capacity
• Enthusiastic, engaging and outgoing personality, and enjoys connecting with their community
• Quick learner - intuitive to the work flow
• Weekend Availability
• Have a strong attention to detail
• Not afraid to be playful and silly: (is silliness really required? Absolutely!) We're looking for teachers who love having fun, and aren't afraid to engage with kids in a playful and whimsical way
• Capability & confidence to manage and lead group classes independently
• Flexibility, open-mindedness, a passion for learning and doing your best. Creatiive Natiive is the type of place where we are honest with each other, and celebrate our growth together.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for several hours at a time
• Use of personal cell phone for clocking in & out, and reporting attendance
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable personal transportation, and willing to travel to various parts of LA
• Ability to store class materials in car or home between classes (overnight)
• Access to a computer in order to do curriculum planning

PREFERRED

• 1-Year (minimum) Teaching Experience
• ECE credits

JOB LOCATION

• Headquarters in North Hollywood
• Various locations around the Los Angeles area (this job requires a lot of driving, if you do not like LA traffic, this is not the job for you)
