Role Description
We are looking to hire two piano teachers to join our family-oriented music studio! Ability to teach additional instruments or music subjects is a plus. If you have a passion for teaching, enjoy working with students of all ages, and want to make a positive impact in your community, we'd love to hear from you.
This full/part-time role includes planning and teaching individual and/or group lessons, introducing and reinforcing core music theory concepts, and guiding students in instrument performance. The teacher will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to varied learning styles and skill levels. Responsibilities also include preparing instructional materials, participating in recitals or performances, communicating with families or caregivers about student development, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment. Flexible scheduling offered based on instructor availability.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated Music Performance skills, with proficiency in Piano instruction.
- Strong foundation in Music Theory and general Music knowledge.
- Professional, dependable, and organized.
- Ability to design age-appropriate curricula and use varied teaching methods to support different learning styles.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and families.
- Minimum 16 years of age.
- Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to creating an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience in music settings is preferred but not required.
- Relevant degree, certification, or equivalent training in Music, Music Education, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
