JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ~
Blueprint & Technical Interpretation
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications
- Apply knowledge of weld symbols and tolerances to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
Fabrication & Assembly
- Assemble metal components and structures according to design and quality requirements
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum of varying thicknesses
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
Quality & Precision
- Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments
- Verify finished products meet or exceed quality standards and industry codes
- Identify weld defects and perform corrective actions to ensure high-quality output
Equipment & Maintenance
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition
- Perform basic upkeep to ensure safe and efficient operation of machinery
Workplace Organization & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Work safely around heat, fumes, compressed gases, and other industrial hazards
HOURS ~
- 4 10's Production Schedule
- Mon-Thursday 3:45pm -2:15am (Occasional OT on Fridays)
QUALIFICATIONS ~
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3 years of MIG welding experience (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum preferred)
- Experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong understanding of blueprints, tolerances, and weld symbols
- Experience in an ISO 9001 environment is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
