Plastics Molding Manager

****INJECTION MOLDING REQUIRED****

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·         Leads and supervises Process Technicians; works directly with team processing, die setting and troubleshooting.

·         Administers process control system and process control procedure

·         Maintain partnership and communication with Plant Manager and Plant Process Engineers to adjust and manage campus priorities

·         Submits work orders for maintenance and tooling items

·         CES continuous improvement initiative coordinator as needed

·         Works closely with Plant Managers/Molding Manager

·         Coordinates technical training

·         Performs and assists in mold try outs

·         Works closely with the SCM (scheduling)

·         Attends Leaders Forum

·         SMED and OEE responsibility by shift

·         Assists with the development of technician performance measurements

·         Diagnoses machine malfunctions and ensures corrective actions occur in a timely manner

·         Full shift and operational technician responsibility for setup and process technical personnel

·         Responsible for technical support of facilities, injection molding machines, robots, and secondary equipment

·         Works with team to make improvements that support corporate goals and objectives

·         Assures consistent practices between plants in regards to systems, programs, policies, specifications, and standards

·         Coordinates with maintenance/fab and other departments to assure all regulatory requirements are met (i.e. safety, security, building codes, etc.)

·         Serves as a resource person for technical and customer issues within the organization

·         Ability to interact well with internal customers & outside suppliers; understands the value of customer service

·         Supports lean manufacturing initiatives (CES) and ensures technical participation

·         Other duties as assigned

·         Die setting and plastics processing experience and ability to lead and mentor die setters and processors

·         Experience and understanding of plastic properties and behavior under molding condition

·         Strong computer skills; MS Office package- Word, Excel, Outlook

·         Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding equipment

·         Demonstrated ability in planning, organizing, controlling, coordinating, and supervising a technical operations team

·         Ability to supervise many locations, each with multiple high priorities

·         Strong team development skills and project management skills

·         Strong experience in plastic injection molding and industrial troubleshooting
