Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Commercial Electrical Estimator with 7 years of commercial electrical experience and a proven track record of successfully bidding and securing commercial projects.
This role will work directly with the CEO, estimators, project managers, and the Operations Team. The ideal candidate is strategic, detail-oriented, technologically savvy, and capable of managing multiple complex proposals simultaneously.
This is not an entry-level estimating role — we are looking for a leader who can think critically, identify scope gaps, mitigate risk, and drive profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates for commercial electrical projects.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, wiring diagrams, addenda, and bid documents to determine full project scope.
- Identify scope gaps, value engineering opportunities, and risk exposures.
- Develop detailed takeoffs using Trimble Accubid and Bluebeam.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and project handoffs to Operations.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure smooth transition from award to execution.
- Maintain organized bid files and documentation in company portals and software systems.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with General Contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Support strategic growth initiatives by targeting and evaluating new project opportunities.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 7 years of commercial electrical industry experience
- Minimum 5 years in a dedicated estimating role
- Demonstrated success bidding mid- to large-scale commercial projects
- Strong working knowledge of:
- National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Florida Building Codes
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Trimble Accubid
- Bluebeam
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple bids concurrently under deadlines
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism and relationship management

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $80,000 – $105,000 (Based on Experience & Qualifications)
