What are the responsibilities and job description for the Studio Operations Manager position at (Creative Legion)?
(Creative Legion) is a place for creatives, makers, artists, and entrepreneurs to create, collaborate, and share. We are a private members club, event venue, and seasonal art gallery with amenities such as a café, podcast room, stage, breakout rooms, and ample outdoor space. We are dedicated to celebrating the arts and supporting a vibrant creative ecosystem. We host exhibitions, events, and programming for artists, entrepreneurs, and makers — and we’re growing quickly.
We’re hiring a Studio Operations Manager — a junior professional with strong natural leadership instincts, excellent intuition, and a desire to grow into a managerial role. You will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the space, ensuring the studio, gallery, and member experience run smoothly so the COO can focus on high-level priorities.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, proactive, people-centered, and excited by both the creativity and hospitality of running a community-based studio.

- Keep the space visually impeccable — you notice the small things before anyone else
- Maintain meeting rooms, gallery spaces, and shared areas so they are always functional and immaculate
- Support event and exhibition setup, hosting, and breakdown
- Troubleshoot and escalate issues (A/V, lighting, printers, etc.)
- Think ten steps ahead of the needs of the space, members, and team
Administrative & Communications Support

- Assist with internal schedules, task tracking, and workflow organization
- Support member communications, newsletters, and updates
- Create simple marketing materials in Canva or similar tools
- Assist with social media content posting and community engagement
- Maintain accurate CRM data in HubSpot, Nexudus, and similar platforms
Not required on day one, but part of your development:
- Training and onboarding new studio assistants and day-of event staff
- Leading small internal projects with light oversight
- Coordinating exhibition logistics with curators and artists
- Contributing to member programming (workshops, creative meetups, talks)
- Supporting or overseeing member events and community initiatives
- Managing studio checklists, SOPs, and internal standards
- Acting as the on-site lead during some evenings or weekends
- Junior-level candidate with leadership instincts — you naturally step up and take ownership
- Intuitive and proactive — you anticipate what’s needed before being asked
- Detail-oriented — you care deeply about presentation, order, and guest experience
- Reliable and flexible — you can adjust your schedule as needed for member and studio needs
- Warm and professional — you make people feel welcome and supported
- Clear communicator — you keep leadership informed and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
- Adaptable — you thrive in environments where no two days are the same
- Tech-comfortable — Google Suite, Canva, and basic social media; CRM experience is a plus
- Eager to learn — you want mentorship, responsibility, and a path toward management
- Full-time (four–five days/week)
- $50,000–$58,000/year depending on experience
- Growth Path: Studio Manager
- Flexible scheduling required; willingness to support member needs or step in when leadership is unavailable
- Frequent evening or weekend event support
- On-site at (Creative Legion) in Hudson, NY
