Creative Learning Preschool, Substitute Teacher

Looking for a flexible, fun, and rewarding job? Creative Learning Preschool is hiring full and part-time substitute teachers. We are seeking candidates with availability Monday-Friday, 7:15-5:45. Some shifts are scheduled the week before, with an additional hours for those with on-call availability. Duties

Joining CLP means joining a supportive and professional work environment. CLP is committed to providing a nurturing environment that supports the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development of all children. We work with families to create a community that empowers children by instilling a positive sense of self, empathy toward others, and an appreciation for diversity. We provide care for children 6 weeks-pre-k/4K. We also offer a summer camp for children age 6-12.

Our Program benefits from a play-based HighScope curriculum. Teachers create weekly lesson plans that incorporate our downtown neighborhood, including area parks, the library, the Farmer's Market, Capitol lawn, and neighboring museums. Children and staff alike have fun while working and learning. Meals are served family style with a focus on food that is prepared from scratch and fresh, sourcing from our on-sight garden when possible. Classrooms often benefit from support staff reducing staff-to-child ratios as well as smaller group sizes.

Requirements

Experience in ECE or related course work is preferred.

Background in Early Childhood Education or related field.

CLP offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the program. Wages are based on years of ECE classroom experience and education with starting pay ranging between $14-$18.00.
