Concrete Production Technician

Job Overview
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Production Technician to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication of reinforcement mesh (rebar), preparation of molds, and execution of concrete casting processes, ensuring that all processes meet safety standards and project specifications. Your expertise will help deliver durable, high-quality concrete solutions for a variety of construction projects, from commercial developments to renovation sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with concrete mixing, formwork, finishing, and other essential construction activities while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate concrete mixers, pumps, molds (cleaning, inspection, release agents) and other power tools to produce and pour concrete according to specifications
• Assist with formwork construction, including framing, rebar installation, and setting up form panels to shape concrete structures
• Perform concrete pouring, finishing, and surface smoothing to achieve desired textures and finishes. Monitor concrete consistency
• Perform vibration and consolidation and assist in demolding.
• Follow all workplace safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation, scaffolding, hazardous materials handling, and general construction safety practices
• Collaborate with team members to report issues, improvements, and project effectiveness, cleanliness and organization

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge related to operating mixers, power tools, heavy equipment, and schematics interpretation
• Knowledge of rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete pouring methods, and finishing procedures
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate commercial driving equipment when necessary
• Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and best practices for site safety compliance
• Strong communication skills for interpreting technical instructions and collaborating effectively with team members
• High school diploma (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience working on construction projects with a strong understanding of concrete production and finishing techniques
• Construction and industrial experience in areas such as renovation, restoration, masonry or framing is highly desirable
• Knowledge of inventory systems
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
