Role Description The Office Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in San Francisco, CA. The Office Assistant will handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as answering and directing phone calls, greeting visitors, managing mail and deliveries, and maintaining organized filing systems (physical and digital). This role includes preparing basic documents, data entry, updating records, and assisting with order processing or invoicing as needed. The Office Assistant will operate standard office equipment, support scheduling and calendar coordination, and help ensure the office remains clean, stocked, and functional. The position works closely with management and production teams to support smooth office operations and timely communication with customers and vendors.
Qualifications
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Administrative assistance and clerical skills, including filing, data entry, basic document preparation, and record maintenance.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot standard office equipment such as printers, copiers, scanners, and multi-line phone systems.
- Basic computer proficiency, including email, calendar tools, and common office software (e.g., word processing and spreadsheets).
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working on-site in a small business environment supporting food production operations.
