What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Clerk position at Creative Foodworks?
Creative Foodworks is an independent food manufacturing company (a co-packer). We make acidified food like Salsa, BBQ sauce, and Bloody Mary drink mixes on behalf of branded food companies. Creative Foodworks is based in San Antonio, Texas and was founded in 1994. We are looking to hire a shipping and receiving clerk to help us keep growing. Applicants must have relevant experience, a good work ethic, an ability to multi-task, possess a high attention to detail, and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review and complete Bill of Ladings, packing slips, and other related documentation
- Prepare and wrap orders 1 week in advance
- Troubleshoot issues and confirm preventatives maintenance is occurring as scheduled.
- Comply with all safety and health regulations
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years shipping and receiving experience
- Must be detail-oriented
- Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Fork lift certified
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Willingness to work late or early hours, some Saturdays, and overtime if necessary.
- Must possess a positive, “can do” attitude.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
