Major Function
An Operator is responsible for the effective and efficient functioning of their assigned polyurethane (PU) Machine.
Essential Functions
Start up the machines in a timely manner. Inspect and verify the working condition of the PU machine and its assigned tooling for ISO, Poly, hydraulic, water and air leaks. Prepare and maintain the tooling for production. Maintain correct machine parameter set points throughout the production shift. Ensure that all necessary data is correctly entered into Plex and the line white board is properly filled out and maintained. Ensure that source inventories related to the molding operation are correctly labeled and maintained. Ensure the assigned PU machine is producing foam that meets quality requirements and policies. Perform basic maintenance on the PU machine that ensures the foam meets quality requirement and policies. Ensure that parts being produced during the molding operation are correctly labeled and maintained to quality requirements and policies.

Major Function

Essential Functions
- Parts coming off the line at the start of scheduled shift.
- Verify the tools are cleaned and ready to shoot.
- Wax preparation.
- Cross reference the check sheet posted on the line.
- Material Verification Process
- Pressure adjustments, Orifice cleaning and turning tools on/off.
- PICCI Process
- Alerts appropriate personnel of quality or equipment deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Escalation process.
- Actively participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Maintains a clean work area and assists in maintaining the company 5S system.
- Follows Creative Foam / Dayton Molded Urethanes policies and procedures and promotes the organizations safety efforts.
- Positively reinforces production goals, standards, and work ethic in work area(s) as well as the entire facility.
- Performs other tasks as required.
