Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Salary: $60,000-$75,000 annually, depending on experience

Job Overview: As a thriving flooring contractor, we are seeking a motivated Warehouse Manager specialized in managing flooring materials. The ideal candidate will oversee the warehouse operations, focusing on the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of flooring materials. This role is crucial in supporting our commitment to providing high-quality flooring solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Flooring Material Management: Oversee and maintain all aspects of the warehouse operations related to inventory, including receiving, storing, maintenance, and dispatching of flooring products.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory specific to flooring materials, receive in, addressing any shortages, returns, and staging requirements. Monitor stock levels to ensure a constant supply for ongoing projects.
- Maintenance of Warehousing Equipment: Ensure that all equipment used for handling materials is maintained, including implementing preventive maintenance programs and coordinating necessary repairs.
- Safety and Compliance: Develop and enforce safety protocols specific to flooring material handling, ensuring compliance with OSHA and relevant regulations. Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
- Team Management and Training: Lead and train warehouse staff in handling and managing flooring materials effectively and safely. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Coordination with Other Departments: Work closely with procurement, sales, and project management teams to ensure seamless operations, from material procurement to project fulfillment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Manage relevant documentation, including Stock Order and Inventory Reports. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data flow between the warehouse and the front office.
- Issue Resolution: Address any discrepancies related to flooring material shipments, including issues with receivers, invoices, or packing slips.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- 1 years of supervisory experience in warehouse management, preferably with a focus on flooring materials or similar products.
- Excellent skills in team management, delegation, and follow-up.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations and strong computer literacy, particularly in Windows-based systems. Experience in RFMS is a plus.
- Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly.
- Forklift operation preferred, training provided.
