Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Drive financial planning and analysis to support growth and profitability.
• Renewals Management: Lead annual insurance renewals, negotiate terms, and ensure uninterrupted coverage.
• Year-End Financial Processes: Oversee closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Financial Reporting: Deliver clear, actionable insights through accurate financial statements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to all applicable laws and standards.
• Operational Oversight: Manage insurance portfolios and ensure timely payments for 3rd-party trucking.
• Team Development: Mentor and lead a high-performing finance team.
• Executive Communication: Present financial results and strategic recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Industry Experience: Background in food distribution or related sectors preferred.
• Accounting Foundation: Strong technical knowledge with experience in journal entries, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance.
• Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to transition from transactional tasks to high-level financial strategy.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
