Overview of the Cost Accountant role:
Maintain and analyze standard and actual cost data for materials, labor, and overhead.
Support month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations related to cost accounting and inventory.
Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights on manufacturing performance and cost drivers.
Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to ensure accuracy in inventory valuation and BOM maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications for the Cost Accountant role:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency with SAP and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).
Excellent analytical and communication skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
Salary:
$85,000–$95,000 annually, based on experience.
