Job Description
As a Senior Accountant at Creative Financial Staffing, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient financial operations of construction projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and overseeing union payroll processing to ensure compliance with union agreements, prevailing wage rates, and applicable regulations.
- Preparing and submitting AIA billing in accordance with project timelines and contract terms.
- Reconciling and maintaining job cost reports and general ledgers.
- Assisting with project costing, budget tracking, and forecasting.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
- Ensuring accurate job costing allocation and tracking across multiple projects.
- Reviewing and approving invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments.
- Liaising with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
- Participating in internal and external audits as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of union payroll systems and processes.
- Experience with AIA billing and construction project accounting.
