Accounts Payable Specialist- Columbia, MD
About the Company and Accounts Payable Specialist Opportunity:
- CFS is partnering with a new HVAC client in Columbia, MD to find an Accounts Payable Specialist to assist on a contractual basis during an acquisition.
- This position is anticipated to last 4-6 months
- Schedule: This position is fully on site in Columbia, MD with potential for some flexibility as needed
- Hours: Start between 7:30am-8:30am, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
- Reports to the General Manager/Controller
- Salary: $50,000-56,000 depending on experience
- Ideal start: Week of April 18, 2025
Job Duties of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Process 20-50 invoices per day
- Perform 3 way matching
- Perform GL account and bank reconciliations as needed
- Cut checks and do check runs
- Handle weekly credit card statements
- Handle supplier rebates
- Assist with digitizing older AP invoices, shredding, and help with any other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- 2 years' accounting/AP experience required
- 3-way matching, high volume AP processing, and reconciliation experience preferred
- Experience using QuickBooks Desktop/Enterprise required
- Experience using Service Titan a plus, but not required
- Basic Excel skills
- Reliable, honest, and strong attention to detail
