Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paraplanner / Financial Planning Associate to support our growing financial planning team. This is an in-house, primarily administrative role focused on new business processing, case preparation, and supporting the development and implementation of financial plans.
This position plays an important role in onboarding new clients and supporting the ongoing service experience for existing relationships. It is ideal for someone who is licensed (or near completion) and looking to build a strong foundation in financial planning, with exposure to planning software, reporting, and advisor support. There is opportunity for future growth into a client-facing advisory role for those interested in pursuing it over time.
Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare and process new business applications across investment and insurance platforms
- Manage and track casework to ensure timely submission, follow-up, and completion
- Gather, organize, and input client data into financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, RightCapital)
- Assist in preparing financial planning deliverables, including cash flow analyses, asset allocation summaries, and insurance reviews
- Support advisors in plan implementation by ensuring accuracy in data modeling and report preparation
- Maintain workflow tracking for financial plans and ensure all required compliance documentation is complete and accurate
- Assist with meeting preparation by compiling relevant client information and supporting post meeting follow-up items
- Coordinate with carriers to resolve outstanding case items
- Maintain accurate and well-organized client records and documentation
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or at least three years of experience is desired.
- Insurance Licenses in Life and Health, and FINRA Securities License Series 6 (or Series 7).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn financial planning software
- Prior experience in financial services, operations, or administrative support preferred
Pay: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
