The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations within the team by managing the procurement of materials, overseeing logistics, and optimizing inventory processes. This role will require close collaboration with internal teams and vendors to maintain a reliable supply chain, support repair crews, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Qualifications:
- Oversee the logistics coordination process to guarantee the accurate and timely delivery of materials to the correct locations.
- Manage lead time on materials and proactively plan for deliveries.
- Sourcing competitive bids from multiple vendors to ensure competitive pricing and best value for the company
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with vendors and project managers to ensure a reliable and responsive supply chain.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor warranty claims, ensuring prompt responses and quick resolution of issues.
- Work closely with the project engineers and project managers to ensure just in time delivery per the schedule.
- Take a proactive approach to scheduling and planning delivery and logistics of materials.
- Ability to project lead times for materials in upcoming projects and anticipate needs proactively.
- Ability to track spending to stay within or under budget
- Ideal candidate will have excellent follow-through to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of materials.
- Conduct comprehensive research, including cross-referencing and quality-checking orders, to ensure that the team achieves its objectives efficiently.
- Ability to adapt and remain flexible with new systems and processes
- Perform thorough reviews of files and documentation to confirm the accuracy of shipments and orders.
Requirements
- Degree in supply chain, business, or related field, preferred.
- Experience in logistics, procurement, supply chain management, business, or related field
- Experience in construction, landscaping, pools, residential and some commercial is a plus
- Familiarity with inventory management software
- Procore Experience, a plus
- Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of warranty claims management and customer service best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships
