Operations & Project Support Coordinator - NYC Metro (Bronxville)

Creative Engineering, LLC
Bronxville, NY Full Time
POSTED ON 1/4/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 2/4/2026

We are a consulting firm that designs, engineers, prototypes, and manufactures a wide variety of products including medical devices, fitness equipment, consumer products, and even industrial machinery. This year we helped redesign the recently unveiled Times Square New Year's Eve Ball.

Basic facts

  • $70,000 starting salary with significant room for growth in pay and role
  • Hours: standard 9-5 on site
  • Fully paid health insurance with dental and vision
  • 401(k) with company match
  • 10 days paid vacation and 10 paid holidays
  • Sick policy: don't come in, get better, work remote if you can
  • Free team lunch twice a week
  • Drive to work? Off street parking provided
  • Commute from NYC or anywhere on the MTA Harlem Line? Steps from Bronxville station
  • A strong, positive team culture: transparent, respectful feedback, high morale
  • Free company swag every Summer when we we get our interns
  • We even play a little pickleball some afternoons

You'll love this job if you prefer...

  • Work / life balance with standard hours vs. expectations of overtime and weekends
  • Rewarded based on initiative and results vs. a predictable role with limited upside
  • What you do matters, ideas taken seriously vs. your work or input changes nothing
  • Variety in what you do and what you work on each day vs. a narrowly defined repetitive job
  • Being a key member of a small collaborative team vs. a tiny piece of a giant organization
  • Professional growth via feedback in a supportive environment vs. working in isolation
  • Clear communication, thoughtful writing, and easy rapport with people
  • Cloud-based systems and digital tools vs. paperwork and filing cabinets
  • Figure things out and improve how things get done vs. working in a rigid pre-defined system

What you'll do

  • Own and run the time-tracking software used for project finances
  • Keep projects organized, moving, and on budget - track metrics and run weekly meetings
  • Help improve how we run projects, communicate both internally and externally
  • Be a point of contact for clients and vendors (yes, you’ll email and talk to them directly)
  • Support manufacturing with purchasing, quoting, order tracking, and other coordination tasks
  • Support sales with initial contact screening, CRM, pipeline support, and onboarding admin
  • Support engineering with sourcing, purchasing and other tasks
  • Take initiative—see what’s inefficient or unclear and propose how to fix it
  • It sounds like a lot, but we will onboard you progressively, not just dump it all at once, and when this becomes more than a 40-hour job because of growth, we'll hire an admin below you.

Required qualifications

  1. Effective communicator
  2. Adaptable and persistent problem solver
  3. Organized and reliable task completer
  4. Savvy computer user

We have no expectations that a candidate has any specific academic background, training or experience in operations, sales, or project management. You could be a Communications major with great computer skills, or a Computer Science graduate with great communications skills, we just need the four attributes above and you can learn the rest.

Why are we looking for someone?

After 30 years of steady success designing and engineering products, we are experiencing a spike in growth after adding full-service manufacturing to our offerings a few years ago. We are confident that finding the right person to manage and improve our operations is key to catalyzing more growth.

This is not an administrative assistant job. It includes that, but we’re looking for someone who wants more - more responsibility, more variety, more involvement in the work itself. You’ll own our operations support tasks and grow into a key part of our project and manufacturing coordination efforts.

This role is crucial to our ability to grow. You’ll have real visibility, real influence, and a chance to directly shape how the company operates as we scale. We notice what works - whether it’s a fix to a small process or a new way of doing things entirely, we welcome ideas and reward results.
