What are the responsibilities and job description for the CEI INSPECTOR - MAINTENANCE/PERMIT INSPECTOR position at Creative Engineering Group?
Creative Engineering Group Inc. is actively seeking CEI Roadway Inspectors in Palm Beach and Fort Pierce, Florida and surrounding areas. Qualified applicants will be able to demonstrate an established career in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection. The Inspector will be responsible for inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests for compliance with contract documents.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Onsite inspection of roadway and bridge construction.
- Monitoring on site construction activities.
- Responsible for performing assignments in assisting Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties.
- Conduct inspections, observations and run materials tests and checking construction work.
- Maintain detailed records of daily operations.
- The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed above.Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years of experience in construction inspection one year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection
- FDOT Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP) Certifications:
Candidates shall have the following FDOT certifications or equivalent certifications/experience in other states and the ability to obtain these certifications within six (6) months from the date of employment:
- CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
- Hold a valid Nuclear Radiation Safety
- FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (AMOT) Candidates shall have the following FDOT certifications or equivalent certifications/experience in other states and the ability to obtain these certifications within one year from the date of employment:
- CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
- CTQP Drilled Shaft
- IMSA Traffic Estimates Level I
- CTQP Final Estimates Level I
- Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors Or a demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, experience, and qualifications
Preferred Requirements:
- Associates degree in Construction Technology
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Ability to earn additional qualifications within one year
- Florida Department of Transportation experience
- A valid Florida driver's license Additional Information: Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
