Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings, including primary care, mental health support and medication administration, urgent care, specialty clinics, and hospital environments. Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiological evaluations.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions such as pain management, infectious diseases, geriatrics, behavioral health, and post-acute care.
  • Perform procedures including suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, spinal taps, and sterile processing techniques.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and patient records management.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists (e.g., gastroenterology, ophthalmology), nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices.
  • Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and support patients remotely across various healthcare settings.

Qualifications

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in your state or jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU/critical care, or outpatient clinics.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques including sonography and laboratory specimen processing.
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner or Athenahealth; experience with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding essential.
  • Skilled in performing procedures like suturing, venipuncture (phlebotomy), catheter care, tube feeding management and basic life support (BLS).
  • Experience working with special populations including pediatrics (children & neonates), geriatrics (memory & dementia care), individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
  • Familiarity with Workers' Compensation law, hospice & palliative medicine principles, occupational health protocols and infection control standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity.
  • Critical care experience such as ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure is highly desirable; additional skills in pain management and behavioral health are a plus.

Pay: $123,700.22 - $131,728.59 per year
