We are seeking a highly skilled Front-of-House (FOH) Supervisor to help oversee the daily operations of our kitchen and catering services at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, MO. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our food products, managing menus, food and labor costs, assisting with or directing catered events around the MoBap campus and consistently maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. Your ultimate goal will be to ensure that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality food and exceptional service to our customers.
Pay: $18-25/hour determined upon evaluation
Typical Schedule: 5-days/week, rotating weekend shifts may be required
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of food service experience in cafeteria, retail and/or catering
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proven track record of managing food and labor costs
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent management experience
- Serv-Safe Certification
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, menu planning, meal service and sanitation
- Train and manage kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
- Assist with food purchases, inventory control in a fiscally responsible manner
- Maintain organized record keeping for food production, temperatures, equipment functionality, etc
- Assist with planning and executing catering events
- Establish and maintain good public relations with all customers, clients, staff, vendors and community members to achieve customer and client satisfaction.
