Job Title: Learning Experience Designer (Automotive Specialist)

We’re looking for a strategic and innovative Learning Experience Designer with expertise in the automotive industry’s business ecosystem, particularly across sales operations, service delivery, OEM-dealer relations, and the evolving customer experience landscape.
You will design, develop, and deliver impactful learning experiences tailored for automotive professionals, from dealership staff to OEM corporate teams. Your role will ensure learning is aligned with real-world business challenges, sales goals, and brand priorities, helping our clients upskill their workforce and improve performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end learning experiences (e.g. eLearning, blended learning, instructor-led training, microlearning, performance support) tailored to automotive sales and service professionals.
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) in areas such as F&I, service drive efficiency, customer experience, and more.
- Advocate for learner-centered design by using UX and learning science principles to drive engagement and retention.
- Stay informed on trends in EV adoption, digital transformation in automotive retail, and OEM innovation strategies, integrating these into learning content as appropriate.
- Conduct needs analyses, stakeholder interviews, and learner research to inform design decisions.
- Apply instructional design theories to create engaging, results-oriented learning activities.
- Analyze success metrics of existing learning products and identify areas for development.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming and strategy sessions.
- Collaborate with Accounts, Creative, and Production team members to ensure consistency and quality of content.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of automotive retail operations, including:
- Vehicle sales process (new and used)
- Service & aftersales processes
- OEM-dealer relationships
- Digital retailing trends and tools
- Proven working experience in instructional design with demonstrated ability to create engaging, outcome-driven learning solutions.
- Knowledge of key automotive metrics and reporting tools (e.g. CRM data, DMS insights).
- Familiarity with EV sales and service training, connected car technologies, or OEM certification programs.
- Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
- Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to write clear, articulate, and grammatically correct content.
- Experience with eLearning authoring tools and LMS platforms.
- Visual design skills.
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with a proven track record of working effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Experience using innovative technologies and AI to advance learning solutions.
- The ability to work independently and use initiative to solve problems independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.
- Remote work experience preferred.
