Job Summary:
The Child Care Center Director is responsible for the overall management, leadership, and operation of the child care center. This includes ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, maintaining high standards of early childhood education and care, managing staff, and building strong relationships with families and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the child care center to ensure a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and accreditation guidelines.
- Develop and implement center policies, procedures, and best practices.
Staff Management
- Train and supervise staff, including teachers, aides, and support personnel.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, accountability, and ongoing growth.
Curriculum & Program Quality
- Support teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and practices.
- Monitor and evaluate classroom environments and teaching quality.
Family & Community Engagement
- Maintain open, respectful, and responsive communication with families.
- Handle parent concerns and feedback with professionalism and empathy.
- Build strong community partnerships and represent the center in a positive manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (preferred).
- Director-level certification/licensure as required by state licensing agencies.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.

Pay: $35, $45,000.00 per year
