- Perform psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing standardized tools, clinical interviews, and behavioral observations to determine mental health status.
- Develop detailed reports including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for diagnoses, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate assessment findings into comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct intake sessions to gather patient histories, psychosocial information, and current concerns.
- Utilize evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) during evaluations.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management when necessary, providing immediate support and safety planning.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations by documenting patient information accurately and securely managing medical records.
- Participate in clinical research projects related to behavioral health, social work practices, or diagnostic evaluation methods.
- Provide telehealth evaluations when appropriate, ensuring high-quality patient care remotely.
- Support patients with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), utilizing specialized assessment techniques.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification relevant to psychological assessment in the applicable jurisdiction.
- Proven experience conducting psychological evaluations within outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic purposes.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities, or geriatrics is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities such as psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology consultation support, grief counseling, PTSD care strategies, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and crisis management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for conducting intake interviews and delivering clear assessment reports.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple cases efficiently.
- Telehealth experience is advantageous for providing remote evaluations.
